Brazil is in the spotlight as the long-awaited new gaming legislation is just three months away. During SBC Lisbon, Gaming Intelligence interviewed our Founder, Peter Nolte, one of the leading experts on the Brazilian market.

Full of optimism about the future, Nolte highlighted the enormous opportunities that the Brazilian market offers and emphasized Salsa’s preparation at all levels to provide its services to customers. “We are focused on Brazil and preparing our gaming content to continue growing in other markets,” he said.

Salsa has been very active in recent months. The company is experiencing significant growth and is ready for the regulated Brazilian market. “With the regulatory framework in place, our priority is Brazil. We are ready to ensure that our customers are successful in their POC, their ‘proof of concept,’” said Nolte. He stressed that the company is fully focused on ensuring that customers using its technology are ready to obtain a license in Brazil. “We have several customers who have already applied for this license, and we are the ideal technology solution for them,” he added.

Regarding Salsa’s experience in Brazil, Peter stated: “We have been developing our platform for almost 20 years, and it stands out for its solidity. Many tools were created with Brazil in mind, and we already have an agent system integrated with the Federal Government’s management system. This is vital.” He assured that the company is in compliance with all regulations and that, on January 1st, its customers will receive the necessary certification.

What can we expect after January 1, 2025? Nolte believes that this date is just the beginning of a larger process. “The Brazilian market will consolidate, and the number of operators should decrease, with companies following very clear rules. Everything that is coming is positive, and we will have a more serious and professional market.”

Finally, Salsa is also looking at other markets. “Although our priority is Brazil, we are a global company. We are licensed in Malta, where we are setting up our office, and we want to operate globally. We have the PAM platform, an aggregator and our own content studio. Next year, we will launch more games, already totaling 15, creating a robust ecosystem for our customers, which includes CRM and affiliation tools”, concluded Nolte.
